Sungguh menenangkan saat kita berfokus pada tujuan yang lebih besar, yang lebih penting, dan lebih bermakna.

We, a team of five newbie hiker, plan to attack pangrango summit, hunting for sunset. Alhamdllh we finally arrived on summit at dusk while the wind turning to gale, the fog slipping slow, and small bullets of rain starting fall.
Running out of water, the next plan was heading to mandalawangi spring to refill the bottles. Based on review, the spring located just behind the mandalawangi yard about 10 minutes trekking down the summit. Due to the fatigue, it was decided that three will go down, and the rest would wait at peak.
It was me, mas Ajib, and mas Rokhim rush trekked the track heading in search of spring. Arrive at mandalawangi i found that it was vast yard covered with garden of edelweis. Amidst knowing that picking one is strictly prohibited, i remembered someone on East Paseban and my hand unconsciously picking one, my heart smiling.
Rushing to find the spring, finally we found that it was almost dried out, so we need to go deeper under the crater like place. I refilled the bottles and while waiting it full, i could clearly recognize, although under the dimlight of flashlight, that the water isn’t even clear and the spring was haunted by leeches.
We’re leaving as quick as we can, just to find out that we were lost in the midst of edelweis garden. The gps tracker showed that we are on the right track, but the further we go, the more we felt its a wrongway.
I started to pray harder, throwed the edelweis on my pocket, forgot the gps, and started following a faint sound of camper which kept shouting, maybe to inform their team that they were already arrived at mandalawangi.
Alhmdulillah, we able to reach the campsite. Quick question of direction and we rushed back to reach our comrade.
